The original ROG Ally brought a crisp 120Hz 1080p screen and the powerful Z1 Extreme to a lighter chassis than the later Ally X. Its weak points were a modest 40Wh battery and an early microSD reader that overheated, but with the Ally X now the flagship, the original Ally is frequently discounted into excellent-value territory while still playing the entire Windows PC library.
